A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I am a farmer’s wife and a mum to three girls all under the age of 11yrs. 

 

I have spent the last 20 years working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in a mixed practice.  My hobbies include horse riding, gun dog training, gardening and drawing. 

 

I have spent years creating bespoke portraits of mainly horses, dogs and cats in my spare time and now at the age of 39yrs I have decided to make it my main profession.

I have a huge passion for animal welfare and have owned many dogs and horses over the years. 

 

I have a good knowledge and eye, for animal anatomy and behaviour and feel this enables me to connect with the photos I receive from my clients in order to capture the personality of their animal through a drawing.

 

I sketch out the drawings by freehand and don’t use any form of projection or tracing of the photos.

 

My work is created using a range of graphite pencils on good quality paper.  I enjoy working to a brief within a deadline and am happy to consider any other type of work too.
